Spain distinguishes Alberto Arizu with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic

Agronomist engineer Alberto Arizu received the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic for his contribution to strengthening ties between Spain and Argentina and his career in the Argentine wine industry.

The ceremony took place at Finca El Paraíso, a property of the Arizu family, in an intimate gathering with relatives and friends. The distinction was presented by Ramón Blecua Casas.

Arizu, a leading figure in Argentine viticulture and member of the founding family of Luigi Bosca, said: “Receiving this distinction is an honor and I am deeply moved. It is recognition of the work and the continuity of the legacy through four generations who found in Argentina a land of opportunities and always kept alive the link with their Spanish roots”.

Luigi Bosca was founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu and has 125 years of history. The company, now in the hands of the fourth family generation, markets its wines in more than 60 markets.
