A lack of discipline hurt the Springbok Women throughout the contest. They conceded 10 penalties in the first half alone and struggled at the breakdown and in set pieces. The Eagles capitalised on these errors to gain repeated possession.
The halftime score stood at 12-14. South Africa showed some promise with accurate lineouts and strong carries from players such as Aphiwe Ngwevu and Catha Jacobs, yet they could not maintain consistency after the break.
The series concluded in a draw. Both teams displayed scrappy play at times, but the Eagles executed better on attack and defence.
