Stephen Curry returned from injury with 29 points in 26 minutes, nearly leading the Golden State Warriors to a comeback victory over the Houston Rockets. The Warriors fell 117-116 at Chase Center on Sunday. Coach Steve Kerr declared the team 'back in the fight' with Curry's presence.
Stephen Curry played his first game since January 30, scoring 29 points on 11-for-21 shooting after missing 27 games with runner's knee. Coming off the bench, he played the planned last six minutes of each quarter and extra time in the third. The Warriors trailed by 10 points with five minutes left but took a one-point lead with 20 seconds remaining, before falling 117-116 to Houston at Chase Center. Curry said after traveling and getting his shot blocked early, 'I kind of settled in nice.' He described the closing lineup with Draymond Green at center as feeling 'like old times,' adding it was 'beautiful to watch and beautiful to be a part of.'
