Thailand promises best experience for SEA Games 2025 delegations

Thailand assures full readiness to welcome athletes and officials from 10 Southeast Asian countries for the 33rd SEA Games from December 9–20, 2025. Governor of the Thai Sports Authority, Kongsak Yodmanee, emphasized that delegations will be treated as honored guests with friendly and secure services. The top priority is providing the highest level of security for all participants.

Bangkok – Thailand is committed to providing a positive and memorable experience for SEA Games 2025 participants. According to Kongsak Yodmanee, athletes and officials will be warmly welcomed at the airport by support teams and friendly volunteers. “Athletes and SEA Games officials are considered honored guests of our country, and they will be welcomed warmly and friendly,” he stated, quoted from the official SEA Games 2025 website.

For security, thousands of uniformed and plainclothes police officers will be deployed to escort participants from the airport, accommodation check-in, to competition venues. “Our priority is to provide the highest level of security for every participant,” Kongsak asserted. The organizing committee has coordinated with relevant ministries, including special immigration lanes for contingents to ensure efficient arrival processes. Athlete transport buses to hotels will be policed with traffic authority support, though without dedicated road closures to avoid public inconvenience.

Indonesia is among the 10 participating countries, and this reception is expected to enhance athlete comfort during competitions. Despite challenges like flooding in Songkhla leading to the relocation of 10 sports to Bangkok, Thailand remains optimistic about smoothly hosting the event.
