UNAM clarified that high school graduates with the regulated pass keep their undergraduate spots despite the suspension of enrollments due to irregularities in the 2026 admission exam.
The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México stated that graduates from the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria and Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades with the regulated pass do not need to submit documents immediately. Their assigned major remains valid without impact.
The institution suspended enrollment procedures for new entrants after detecting possible anomalies in the online exam applied this year. A criminal complaint was filed and a technical commission is reviewing the process.
Students with the regulated pass must await new dates that UNAM will announce after the review concludes. Rector Leonardo Lomelí Vanegas ordered the analysis to ensure transparency.
Originally, document submission was scheduled between July 21 and 31, with enrollments from August 3 to 7. The start of the school cycle remains planned for August 10, subject to adjustments.
