Woman rescued from 3-meter dry well in Gama

A woman fell into a 3-meter deep dry well in the Condomínio Residencial Park do Gama and was rescued by the Distrito Federal Fire Department on Wednesday night. She remained at the bottom for about 20 minutes before being saved using advanced techniques. The victim was taken to a regional hospital.

The incident took place at the Condomínio Residencial Park do Gama, located in Ponte Alta Norte do Gama, in the Distrito Federal. On the night of Wednesday, October 29, a woman fell into a dry well three meters deep. According to the Distrito Federal Military Fire Department (CBMDF), the victim was trapped at the bottom of the well for about 20 minutes.

The rescue operation was conducted at night, requiring advanced vertical rescue and salvage techniques. The firefighters illuminated the area and stabilized a ladder inside the well to reach the victim. “The military personnel stabilized a ladder inside the well and, using vertical rescue techniques and constant monitoring, safely extracted the victim, a woman who was conscious and oriented,” the CBMDF stated in an official note.

After the rescue, the woman was stabilized on site and transported to a regional hospital for medical treatment. No details are available on how the accident occurred.
