The news was revealed in a YouTube strategy video titled “2026 YG Plan | YG Announcement” featuring YG founder and executive producer Yang Hyun-suk. He confirmed the trio's agreement to the stadium-focused concerts, stating, “I think the reason people miss BigBang and wait for their concerts is because they want to see and hear the many hit songs the group have performed over the years live on stage again.” Yang added that their long collaboration would ease preparations: “We have worked closely together for a long time, so I don’t expect major difficulties. All of YG’s staff will do their best to create a beautiful, complete and outstanding performance.” The tour kicks off with an opening show in Seoul, followed by Tokyo and Osaka in Japan; Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Toronto in North America; London, Paris, and Berlin in Europe; Sydney and Melbourne in Australia; Bangkok in Southeast Asia; and additional dates planned for South America and the Middle East. Running from summer 2026 through spring 2027, it marks BigBang's third major global trek after the Alive Tour (2012–13) and Made Tour (2015–16). BigBang will also perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California on April 12 and 19 as a warm-up. A mini-album with a lead single is slated for March–April 2026, following January teasers. Industry sources indicate T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) has no plans to rejoin and is preparing a solo album under Topspot Pictures, distributed by Kakao Entertainment, teased on social media January 1, 2026—his first since Doom Dada in 2013. G-Dragon hinted at the reunion during a recent Seoul fan-meet: “As a member, as well as a fan, myself, I am looking forward to it, and so are the other members.” The announcement is part of YG's 2026 plans, including its 30th anniversary collaboration with BigBang, TREASURE's mini-album in June and 2027 tour, BABYMONSTER's “CHOOM” mini-album in May, second world tour, and full-length album in October, a new boy group debut in fall, and updates on rookie girl group NEXT MONSTER.
