An 18-year-old was detained on Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder after a knife attack on a bus in Malmö. Two teenage boys were seriously injured in the fight.
The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon on a bus in Holma in Malmö. A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were seriously injured with stab or cut wounds.
Both boys were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but their conditions have stabilized. Police say the boys did not know each other previously and that the event is not linked to any gang conflict.
On Thursday, Malmö District Court decided to detain the 18-year-old. He has previously been convicted twice of violations of the knife law. The 17-year-old boy has also been arrested on suspicion of aiding attempted murder.
