Africa CDC announced the decision, according to Ethiopia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry stated that more than 30,000 participants are expected at the event, scheduled for next month.

The ministry approved the hosting, noting Addis Ababa's proven capacity to manage large events in recent years and its renowned Ethiopian hospitality. This choice reinforces the city's status as a preferred venue for international conferences.
