The talks also addressed broader regional security issues, particularly in the Nile Basin and the Horn of Africa. Both leaders confirmed their identical visions on national security priorities, especially water security, while firmly rejecting unilateral measures in the Blue Nile Basin and underscoring the need to respect international law to safeguard the interests of all riparian states.
General al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for Egypt's continuous support during the crisis, noting that Cairo's efforts reflect the depth of fraternal ties between the two nations. The official reception included an honor guard ceremony and the playing of national anthems, followed by bilateral discussions between the delegations and a luncheon hosted by Al-Sisi in honor of the Sudanese leader.
