In the semifinals of the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026, a BWF World Tour Super 500 event, Alwi Farhan defeated Chi Yu Jen of Chinese Taipei 21-11, 21-12 on court 1 at Istora Senayan. The win came in just 30 minutes, with Alwi controlling the match despite not being at 100 percent fitness. "I proved to myself that I am still capable. Maybe my condition isn't 100 percent, but my determination, willingness, and ambition are more than 100 percent," Alwi said after the match.
In men's doubles, Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin ousted fellow Indonesians Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani 21-19, 21-14. The first game was tight, ending with a slim margin, while the second saw the young pair dominate after leveling at 8-8. This avenged their loss to the same opponents at the Malaysia Open 2026.
However, Indonesia failed to add more finalists in other sectors.
