Following the first trailer in December, Billie Eilish dropped a new three-minute trailer on April 13 for her 3D concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), co-directed with James Cameron. Shot over four nights during her Manchester shows in July 2025, the film—documenting her sold-out world tour—has been delayed to May 8 theaters from its original March 20 date. The trailer emphasizes the innovative 3D filming process with behind-the-scenes discussions.
The latest trailer dives into the collaboration between Eilish and Cameron, featuring them preparing for performances. Cameron tells Eilish, “It’s your show, it’s your creative vision,” as they discuss 3D cameras, including one inside a glowing box with the singer. He teases, “This is gonna blow people’s minds,” and adds, “We’re going to have to play some games, but we’ll make it look great.”
Eilish shares her laid-back pre-show routine: “The day of a show is, for me—it just feels like any day at all. I just feel like I’m going to hang out with my friends.” She describes the intimate tour vibe: “I want it to feel like it’s me and them. I love that.” Backstage, she maintains a “puppy room” with local rescue dogs for “everyone needs some dog love.”
Concert previews include sweeping audience shots and performances of “Bad Guy” and “Chihiro.” Cameron announced the May 8 release on Threads in January, citing 3D tech refinements. This follows his Avatar: Fire and Ash (December) and precedes Eilish’s prior 2021 concert film. The project builds on the first trailer's tour highlights and emotional moments shared last December.
