Activision has announced that preload for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 begins on November 10, 2025, ahead of its full release on November 14. The update includes a repackaged Call of Duty HQ with reorganized content from Black Ops 6 and Warzone to support the new launch. Players jumping in early will also receive five hours of double XP rewards.
Launch and Preload Details
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to release on November 14, 2025, across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms. It will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Preloading starts as early as November 10, allowing players to download the game ahead of time. The full unlock begins on November 13 in some regions, depending on local times, with the game going live regionally on November 14.
This preload comes as part of a larger update to the Call of Duty HQ, which reorganizes existing content packs from Black Ops 6 and Warzone. For players with all prior content installed, the download may be substantial, but Activision recommends uninstalling unused elements—like the Black Ops 6 campaign—to reduce file size. Once preloaded, players can instantly access Black Ops 7 on launch day.
Double XP Perk and Season 1 Expectations
To encourage immediate play, Activision is offering five hours of double XP for player progression and five hours of double weapon XP to anyone who plays before Season 1 begins. Season 1 is expected in early December, following a similar three-week gap as Black Ops 6, which launched on October 25, 2024, and started its first season on November 14.
The launch includes various multiplayer maps, modes, and operators, with the Season 1 roadmap featuring six new multiplayer maps, three zombies maps, new weapons, and seasonal events. Full PC system requirements have also been detailed by Activision.
