Blueray Cargo Owner Sentenced to 2 Years for Rp91.77 Billion Customs Bribery

The Corruption Court in Jakarta sentenced Blueray Cargo owner John Field and two associates for giving Rp91.77 billion in bribes to customs officials including Director General Djaka Budhi Utama.

The Corruption Court panel at the Central Jakarta District Court ruled that John Field had given bribes together with Operations Manager Dedy Kurniawan and Documentation Team Head Andri.

Presiding Judge Brelly Yuniar Dien stated the bribes included Rp61.3 billion in Singapore dollars, Rp30 billion in cash, and Rp1.85 billion in entertainment and luxury items including a Mazda CX-5 car and a TAG Heuer watch.

Panel member Judge Nofalinda Arianti said Customs Director General Djaka Budhi Utama received Rp21 billion in seven payments from July 2025 to January 2026.

John Field was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a Rp300 million fine. Dedy Kurniawan and Andri each received 1.5 years in prison and a Rp200 million fine.
