Body of Krishna Aguilera found after 21 days missing

The lifeless body of 19-year-old Krishna Aguilera was discovered on Sunday in the Catemito sector of Calera de Tango after 21 days missing. The Investigative Police (PDI) and the Prosecutor's Office confirmed a planned kidnapping and homicide linked to Juan Beltrán and his circle. Six people have been detained, with formalizations pending for Tuesday.

Krishna Aguilera disappeared on October 4 in San Bernardo, near the Raúl Brañes Clinic, after going out with Juan Beltrán, a 45-year-old man known for his links to drug trafficking. The young woman, who met him at 17 and shared a sentimental bond though not formal, was invited by him to a nightclub in Bellavista, from which she did not return.

Prefect Inspector Jorge Abatte, national chief of Crimes Against Persons at the PDI, confirmed the discovery: “We report that through the diligences advanced in this investigation, the location of Krishna is achieved, in this sector, at this scene of the event, which has been worked on by the laboratory and various specialized units to definitively determine how these events occurred”.

The Western Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office, led by prosecutor Marcos Pastén, described the case as a “kidnapping with homicide that was planned in advance. This was not a random situation, this was not a crime of passion, this was not circumstantial or an accident, this was a crime that had been planned for some time by Juan Beltrán and his circle”. The site was “prepared precisely for those purposes” and the body's condition indicates it was not accidental. The detainees form “a circle all around Juan Beltrán, through various sentimental, economic, affective ties”, including his partner, her mother, and others with work and family links; one is a minor and the sixth, a 45-year-old man, whose statement helped locate the body.

Beltrán has been in preventive detention since last week. The other five were arrested this week, and the sixth on Sunday; their detentions were extended until Tuesday the 28th in the San Bernardo Guarantee Court due to lack of investigative steps. Justice Minister Jaime Gajardo detailed they are held in separate facilities like high security, Santiago 1, San Miguel, and CIP-CRC, isolated to prevent communication and ensure integrity. Security Minister Luis Cordero confirmed Beltrán is “the leader of a local criminal organization” involved in drug trafficking in San Bernardo.

The victim's sister, Cristal Aguilera, expressed relief but frustration outside the Medical Legal Service, where the body will not be released yet for examinations: “I'm more at peace because I got what I wanted, I knew I had to find her... A lot of time was lost, because I always said who the main suspect was”. She demanded justice: “I need these people to be in jail for many years and never get out, no benefits... They are dangerous people, I need them to never set foot on the street again”. She thanked the San Bernardo Municipality but denied government contact and mentioned being followed by vehicles without concrete threats.
