Brandon Flowers has announced his first solo album in over a decade. The record, titled Thrasher, is set for release on August 21 via Island Records.
The Killers frontman revealed the Nashville-recorded project on June 23. It marks his third solo effort following 2015's The Desired Effect and draws from his childhood in Nephi, Utah.
Flowers collaborated with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, along with guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton and harmonica player Charlie McCoy. The album blends Americana and Western styles with personal themes.
Lead single Plans is scheduled to arrive on June 26. A full tracklist has been shared, including songs such as One of Us and An American Dream.
Flowers stated that the work reflects a return to his father's country-western music. He described the sessions as a highlight of his career and noted this is the first of two planned solo albums before the next Killers record in 2027.
