The Milwaukee Brewers completed a weekend sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday afternoon with a 4-0 victory at American Family Field. Jackson Chourio and Blake Perkins delivered key home runs while starter Kyle Harrison kept the visitors off the scoreboard.
Chourio opened the scoring with a leadoff home run against Phillies ace Cristopher Sánchez. Perkins added a three-run homer in the fourth inning to extend the lead.
Harrison worked six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and issuing no walks. The performance came one day after Jacob Misiorowski threw a one-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts in the series opener.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy praised the team's ability to compete against strong pitching. Perkins said the club aimed to win the series against a contender built for the postseason.
Milwaukee improved its standing in the NL Cy Young conversation for Misiorowski, who ranks among league leaders in ERA, strikeouts and WHIP. The right-hander is scheduled to face the Atlanta Braves on June 19.
