The Bulgarian team, coming off losses, won with set scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-21. Nikolov led the offensive and defensive statistics for Bulgaria.

Bulgaria faces Argentina on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the same venue. Later on Thursday, the Brazilian national team plays Belgium at 8 p.m.
