The Court of Arbitration for Sport has dismissed an appeal by French player Samuel Bensoussan and raised his suspension for match-fixing violations to three years. The decision follows an original sanction issued by the International Tennis Integrity Agency in May 2025.
Bensoussan had challenged a ban of one year and eleven months along with a $12,000 fine. The ITIA had found him guilty of accepting bribes and spot-fixing in matches during 2018 at lower-tier events.
In its ruling, the CAS upheld the fine but extended the suspension. An ITIA statement confirmed the appeal was rejected and the penalty increased.
The case stems from a 2023 joint investigation by the ITIA and Belgian authorities into illegal betting. Bensoussan was among nearly 200 players linked to the probe.
