In the men's 800m elite race, Lutkenhaus dominated from the front, surging midway to finish nearly two seconds ahead of Shane Cohen's 1:47.63. His time eclipsed Donovan Brazier's previous U.S. U20 indoor mark of 1:45.93 and stands as the fastest indoor 800m ever by a high schooler. Other finishers included William Cuthbertson (1:47.86), Luciano Fiore (1:48.19), and Jacob Van Orden (1:48.21).
