Delhi closes 18 metro stations amid Jantar Mantar protest

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation closed 18 metro stations from 7:30 am on Saturday due to the Cockroach Janta Party protest at Jantar Mantar.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced that 18 stations including Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk and Patel Chowk would remain closed from 7:30 am on Saturday until further orders. Interchange facilities continue at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.

The closures follow days of traffic disruption caused by the Cockroach Janta Party protest at Jantar Mantar. DMRC shared the update on Platform X.

According to The Hindu, 18 stations were also shut on Friday and internet services stayed suspended for a third day around Jantar Mantar. Thousands of protesters gathered at the site.
