Disney has shared previews of a new walking, talking Olaf animatronic and Cast Member costumes for the World of Frozen area in Disneyland Paris' upcoming Disney Adventure World. The reimagined park is set to open on March 29, 2026. The animatronic, voiced by Josh Gad, debuted ahead of the opening.
Disney Adventure World, the reimagined second park at Disneyland Paris, will open on March 29, 2026, featuring new attractions, restaurants, and characters including a World of Frozen area modeled after Arendelle. Disney Food Blog reported a behind-the-scenes look at Cast Member costumes for this area, which resemble those from the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT's Frozen Ever After ride. The costumes draw from the Bunad, traditional Norwegian clothing, with details like snowflake buttons and Rosemaling patterns matching Anna's dress and Arendelle buildings. Another section, Adventure Way, features 1920s-inspired designs with Art Nouveau floral patterns. It will be warm, suitable for the park's snowy conditions at Disneyland Paris. Separately, Disney Food Blog writers interacted with a new animatronic Olaf, dubbed 'Robo-Olaf,' during a media preview. This fully walking and talking snowman moves its arms, has articulated mouth and eyes for speaking, and magnetically attached features like arms, nose, buttons, eyebrows, and hair. Voiced by Josh Gad, the original actor, it was developed with Walt Disney Animation Studios for accuracy to the 2013 film. Olaf will wander cobblestone streets in World of Frozen for guest interactions, alongside attractions like Frozen Ever After and Arendelle-themed restaurants. The same animatronic is planned soon for Hong Kong Disneyland's World of Frozen. At Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, an audio-animatronic Olaf will host 'Olaf Draws!' animation classes opening May 26, 2026, though walking capability is unconfirmed.
