DENVER -- The Dodgers placed closer Edwin Díaz on the injured list Monday after an MRI revealed loose bodies in his elbow. Díaz struggled in Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Rockies at Coors Field, allowing three runs without recording an out. His fastball velocity dipped to as low as 92.8 mph, well below his typical 97-99 mph range, though imaging showed no ligament damage. Roberts noted that loose bodies can be asymptomatic until they are not, drawing from his own experience with the same surgery at career's end. “We all saw the stuff last night, and it sent up red flags,” Roberts said. “It showed loose bodies... expect a second-half return.”
