Egypt cosmetics market exceeds 900 million dollars in 2025

Egypt's cosmetics and personal care market generated more than 900 million dollars in revenue in 2025, fueled by strong demand and sustained growth.

Projections indicate the market will reach 1.57 billion dollars by 2032 with annual growth of around 7%. The expansion is driven by Egypt's young population, rising interest in personal care among male consumers, and the influence of social media.

L'Oréal leads the Egyptian market and aligns with the localization strategy. Its Cairo plant, opened in 2013, serves as a regional hub exporting 85% of production to 20 countries.

Industry Minister Khaled Hashem praised L'Oréal Egypt as a model for sustainable manufacturing, noting the facility runs on renewable energy and recycles 100% of its process water.
