He urged the current generation to honor historical legacies through concrete development efforts.

The Ethio-Djibouti Railway Corporation has expressed its dedication to broadening Ethiopia's railway network by enhancing local technical skills and achieving greater operational self-reliance. This initiative underscores efforts to reduce dependence on outside support in infrastructure projects.

Chief Executive Officer Takele Uma delivered his statement amid a commemorative event where the corporation's leaders and staff visited active railway construction areas to observe the 130th anniversary of the Victory of Adwa. During the occasion, Uma encouraged younger Ethiopians to pay tribute to historical figures by pursuing substantial progress in national development.

The group inspected the AMG-Indoode Link Railway Project, which the corporation is developing using its internal team of engineers, technicians, and operations personnel. This undertaking highlights the organization's increasing proficiency in planning, overseeing, and implementing intricate railway tasks independently, free from foreign contractors.

“Our forefathers built this nation through sacrifice. It is our responsibility to replicate their contribution by advancing development and strengthening national capacity,” Uma stated. (ENA)
