Ethiopia approves results from 24 election districts after special voting

Ethiopia's National Election Board has approved results from 24 election districts. Displaced persons and soldiers living in camps cast their votes today.

Board chair Melatwork Hailu stated that the voting process in 442 military camps and 82 internally displaced persons shelters was completed today. The voting process took place on May 24, 2018 in the Ethiopian calendar. After its completion, results from polling stations and election districts were aggregated. The approved results cover 24 election districts located in the Oromia, Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz and Gambella regions. Results have been posted in nearly all polling stations.
