Ethiopia leads East Africa in purchasing power parity, IMF reports

The International Monetary Fund reported that Ethiopia leads East Africa in purchasing power parity.

A report issued in Addis Ababa shows that Ethiopia recorded an annual purchasing power parity gross domestic product of 558.93 billion dollars.

This figure places it ahead of Kenya and Tanzania. The combined total for the top three countries reaches 1.35 trillion dollars.

The report states this capacity exceeds the combined totals of countries ranked from fourth to nineteenth.
