Ethiopia national dialogue advances to report discussions

Ethiopia's national dialogue is proceeding successfully, with discussions on group reports set to begin tomorrow. More than 4,000 participants have joined the process.

Addis Ababa, July 16, 2018 (FMC). National Dialogue Commission Chief Commissioner Mesfin Araya (Prof.) stated today that the dialogue, which began on Hamle 8, is proceeding successfully. Participants have been divided into groups to discuss agendas through listening and respect before moving to idea compilation.

From tomorrow, groups of 10 members will gather about 50 people to present and discuss their compiled reports. Experts have provided input on history, federalism and identity issues.

Residents of Assela city said the dialogue will strengthen public unity and ensure peace and development. Institutions have provided support in health, security and transport sectors.
