State Minister Yetimegeta Asrat made the remarks at the Ethiopia-Italy Construction Infrastructure and Development Forum held in Addis Ababa, stressing that infrastructure is pivotal to the nation's economic transformation and long-term vision.
The event gathered key figures including Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie, Finance Minister Ahmed Shide, Minister of Irrigation and Lowlands Abraham Belay, Italy's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi, and Italy's Ambassador to Ethiopia Sem Fabrizi.
Yetimegeta Asrat explained that the country is advancing toward interconnected infrastructure frameworks to enable sustainable and inclusive growth. "We are not merely building projects, but fundamentally building systems and a construction industry that can build a nation," he stated, noting that infrastructure acts as the economy's lifeline.
