Father arrested after 4-year-old son found buried in yard

Police in Aberdeen, Washington, have arrested the father of a 4-year-old boy whose body was discovered buried in his grandmother's backyard.

Jacob Scott Bevins, 36, was taken into custody on Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, unlawful disposal of human remains, and making a false statement to a public servant. He remains in the Grays Harbor County Jail without bail and has not yet been formally charged. The boy's body was found on May 15 after police received a complaint about the whereabouts of Bevins' 6-year-old daughter on May 12. Relatives reported they had not seen Aiden Bevins for some time.
