Figaro journalist infiltrates Wake Up food supplement seller

A Figaro journalist spent nearly two months as a seller at Wake Up, a multilevel marketing firm promoting phycocyanine-based supplements.

The investigation, published on June 14 2026, describes a meeting at the Cité des Échanges in Marcq-en-Barœul near Lille. About 400 participants, called Wakers, attended a speech by Alexis Santini, cofounder with his father Jacques.

Santini presented his company as a response to modern health problems. The supplements are sold on the basis of the cellular health concept promoted by Dr Jean-Louis Vidalo, without scientific studies confirming their effects.

The journalist notes that members hope to cure pathologies and gain financial independence. The company has existed for twelve years and follows the direct sales model.
