Shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday night, a fire was reported in a pavilion in Bojsenburg, Falun. The fire was extinguished without injuries, but police are investigating it as suspected arson.
Police have launched a preliminary investigation into arson as routine procedure. No suspect has been identified.
Sophia Jiglind, police press spokesperson, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to allow further examination. She noted that police are also looking into possible connections with two previous fires last week in Falun.
Rescue service Dala Mitt had previously urged residents to be vigilant and not store flammable items in yards or stairwells.
