Geese, fronted by Cameron Winter, are midway through a European tour. On Saturday, March 21, they played Glasgow's SWG3 and marked the occasion with a live rendition of 'Movin' On Up', the opening track from Primal Scream's seminal album Screamadelica. That record won the inaugural Mercury Prize in 1992. The cover clip quickly caught the attention of the Scottish band, who expressed their appreciation online. Geese's third album, Getting Killed, released in September, was named the best album of 2025 by NME. The publication praised it as 'a rare, unpredictable record that comes with such melody in the madness, control in the chaos', comparing influences including Radiohead, Black Midi, The Strokes, and Van Morrison. During the tour, Geese have also debuted a new song called 'Apollo', amid speculation linking it to recent studio sightings with members of Tame Impala, Pond, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard in Australia. The band's UK headline dates continue with shows on March 24 at New Century Hall in Manchester and March 25 at O2 Forum Kentish Town in London, followed by August 26 at Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow and September 1 at Troxy in London. Recently, Geese appeared as musical guests on Saturday Night Live on January 24, hosted by Teyana Taylor, performing 'Au Pays du Cocaine' and 'Trinidad' from Getting Killed. They also won at the 2026 BRIT Awards last month, where bassist Max Bassin condemned ICE and called for a free Palestine in his speech.
