Grayscale files S-1 for first U.S. Worldcoin ETF

Grayscale has filed an S-1 registration statement to launch the first U.S. spot ETF for Worldcoin's WLD token on Nasdaq.

The filing marks the asset manager's latest move into cryptocurrency products. It would create the first U.S. ETF linked to the biometric crypto project founded by Sam Altman.

Worldcoin's WLD token rose 8 percent following the announcement. The development adds to Grayscale's existing lineup of crypto exchange-traded funds.

The S-1 filing outlines plans for a fund that would hold WLD directly. No launch date or further details on approvals have been confirmed yet.

BlackRock’s digital assets ETFs, managing nearly $60.7 billion in assets, produced $42 million in fees during the first quarter of 2026. This figure represented 1.75% of the firm’s total ETF fees, despite comprising just 1.11% of ETF assets under management. The revenue highlights crypto’s higher fee rates but also its vulnerability to market swings.
