Her husband, actor Liu Kai-chi, died in the same hospital in 2021 after reportedly battling stomach cancer for several months. Chan became a leading actress at TVB in the 1980s and married her drama classmate Liu in 1987.
“In accordance with her wishes during her lifetime, the memorial service will be held privately and discreetly,” the sons said, adding that the event would be restricted to close friends and family members.
