Lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea stated that the designation of former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah as a suspect in the PT Asabri corruption case had not received approval from President Prabowo Subianto.
Febrie Adriansyah was questioned by prosecutors for nine hours on Friday, 17 July 2026, as a suspect. He faced 18 questions, mostly about alleged receipt of Rp50 billion from Tan Kian. Hotman denied the claims and said his client received no money.
Hotman described Febrie as President Prabowo’s right-hand man at the PKH task force who deposited Rp430 trillion to the state. He questioned why the suspect designation proceeded without presidential approval.
The Sentul house is not registered under Febrie’s name as it was gifted to his mother-in-law’s grandchild before the Asabri case. Since 2022 it has been managed by co-suspect Don Ritto. Febrie was not detained after questioning.
