Jonryheem Wolfley-Peoples received a 40-day jail sentence after an Idaho jury convicted him of misdemeanor domestic battery, assault, and harassment. The convictions stem from an August 2025 incident and subsequent threats made via text message.
Wolfley-Peoples was found guilty in April of domestic battery without traumatic injury, use of telecommunication to harass, and assault. He was acquitted on related felony charges. The court also imposed two years of supervised probation and $900 in fines.
The case involved an attack during a camping trip in August 2025. According to court records, Wolfley-Peoples became angry when the woman did not pack equipment quickly enough. He shoved her to the ground, causing a nosebleed, and later sent multiple threatening text messages that included statements about violence in front of her children.
At the sentencing hearing, the victim described a pattern of verbal, financial, and physical abuse. State prosecutor Rocky Wixom argued for a stronger penalty due to the threats. Wolfley-Peoples told the court there were two sides to the story and claimed he had grown since the events.
