IM MEN presented its Spring Summer 2027 collection titled “In Praise of Bamboo Shadows” at the Césure cultural venue in Paris. The show highlighted nature-inspired textiles and a new collaboration with ASICS.
The collection draws from East Asian decorative arts and traditional katazome stencils at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. It includes the BAMBOO SHADOWS capsule with patterns by Rikako Nagashima on bamboo fiber and organic cotton, plus other series like BLOOM NYLON and BAMBOO BLEACH.
Advanced techniques feature BASKET JACQUARD stretch fabric and hand-pleated NODE PLEATS. Accessories include the CHIMAKI LEATHER BAG modeled after bamboo-wrapped rice.
The runway also debuted the “SORTIE VEILED” sneaker, the second release in the Issey Miyake Foot project with ASICS. The shoe is based on a 1980s marathon silhouette with a clean fabric outer layer.
