Facing the Houston Astros, the Mariners first baseman homered off Mike Burrows in the first inning on an 0-1 fastball, sending it 365 feet into right field. His second shot in the third cleared the center-field wall at 433 feet with an exit velocity of 111.5 mph, driving in the first five Seattle runs and more than tripling his season RBI total from two.
