A judge in Martorell has issued a provisional detention order with one million euro bail against Jonathan Andic over evidence of homicide in the death of his father Isak Andic, founder of Mango.
The investigating judge bases her decision on a report from the Mountain Intervention Unit of the Mossos d'Esquadra. Specialists carried out ten simulations at the exact spot of the fall and concluded that the footprint found requires at least four rubbing movements forward and backward. The path presents no difficulty and requires no specific footwear, except at the precise point of the incident.
The order also cites the autopsy. Lesions on the right side in an ascending pattern, together with the absence of marks on the palms of the hands, rule out a slip or stumble. The forensic report describes the posture as if the deceased had been launched down a slide feet first.
Investigators point to a possible economic motive linked to Isak Andic's plan to create a charitable foundation. According to analyzed WhatsApp conversations, Jonathan learned of the project in mid-2024. The December 14, 2024 excursion in Montserrat was proposed by the son to reconcile. Isak Andic died during that outing, which was initially attributed to an accident.
