Utoaji wa pasipoti nchini Kenya ulipungua kwa asilimia 36.7 hadi 393,567 mwaka 2025, kutoka 621,794 mwaka 2024. Serikali iliondoa chaguo la pasipoti ya kurasa 32 na 50 kutoka eCitizen. Hii imechangia upungufu mkubwa wa maombi.

Ripoti ya Kenya National Bureau of Statistics inaonyesha utoaji wa pasipoti ulipungua kwa asilimia 36.7 mwaka 2025, na ni pungufu kubwa zaidi katika miaka minne iliyopita.

Serikali iliondoa pasipoti ya kurasa 32 kwa waombaji wapya Julai 2025, kutokana na vikwazo vya uendeshaji na usambazaji. Hii iliwacha chaguzi mbili tu: kurasa 50 kwa Ksh 9,500 na kurasa 66 kwa Ksh 12,500. Pia, pasipoti ya kurasa 50 iliondolewa kimya kimya kutoka jukwaa la eCitizen Februari 2026.
