North Korean leader Kim Jong-un gave "field guidance" at the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations under construction in Pyongyang, state media said on April 3. The facility honors soldiers from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) who were killed supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

During the inspection of the site, which is 97 percent complete and scheduled to open in mid-April, Kim said, "The museum will be a monument to the era praising the great heroism of the proud sons of the DPRK and a seat for education in patriotism," KCNA reported.

Kim noted that a ceremony to bury the remains of the fallen soldiers will be held in mid-April alongside the museum's inauguration, marking the first anniversary of the conclusion of the "liberating Kursk" operation. A photo of Kim at the Pyongyang construction site on March 16 was published by KCNA the following day.
