LEGO Batman game to launch on Switch 2 in September

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will arrive on the Switch 2 on 18 September. Publisher Warner Bros. announced the date for the Nintendo console version of the game.

The title first launched last month on Xbox Series X/S and PC. The Switch 2 edition joins a busy September release schedule for the new console. Owners of the Deluxe Edition will also receive the Mayhem Collection DLC on the same day. It adds Mayhem Mode with The Joker and Harley Quinn, a new story mission, and a Sinister Pack of suits and items. The DLC will be available across Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game received a four-star review upon release.

Developers at TT Games demonstrated Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, blending Arkham-style combat with classic Lego co-op and humor. Journalists played early missions in Gotham's Iceberg Lounge, Haly's Circus, and an open-world city during previews. The game draws from over 80 years of Batman lore, promising deeper mechanics for all ages.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said the company is preparing additional titles for Nintendo Switch 2 in the second half of 2026. The comments came during a recent earnings call as the firm works to build a steady lineup for its new console.
