Leksands IF appears set to add 25-year-old center Tyler Angle for the upcoming SHL season. The move is based on reports from Expressen.
The Canadian forward, from the Niagara Falls area, played last season in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins. He recorded 26 points in 62 games for the Detroit Red Wings affiliate.
Angle previously competed in Germany's top league with Düsseldorf, where he tallied 27 points in 47 games. He has also appeared in four NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and scored once in April 2023 against the Buffalo Sabres.
He is expected to join teammate Riley McCourt, who already signed with Leksand. The reports suggest Angle will now aim to produce in Swedish hockey rather than the AHL.
