Marcus Ericsson: miscalibrated clutch caused motor stop

Marcus Ericsson confirms that a miscalibrated clutch caused his motor stop during the IndyCar race at Mid-Ohio two weeks ago.

It happened eleven laps into the race after the first pit stop. Ericsson stated that the problem was not due to any mistake of his own.

Once the team replaced the clutch everything returned to normal. He commented on the matter in an interview with Nerikes Allehanda.

– When we replaced it everything was back to normal again, says Marcus Ericsson.
