Residents of Jakarta and surrounding cities can renew their driver's licenses easily via mobile SIM keliling services on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Polda Metro Jaya is deploying five units at strategic locations across DKI Jakarta, with similar services available in Bekasi, Bogor, and Bandung. This facility allows renewal of active SIM A and C licenses without visiting a traffic police office.
The SIM keliling service is provided by the police to facilitate the renewal of driver's licenses (SIM) nearing expiration. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Polda Metro Jaya is deploying five mobile SIM keliling units across DKI Jakarta. The locations include Kampus Trilogi Kalibata for South Jakarta, Kantor Pos Lapangan Banteng for Central Jakarta, Kampus Anggrek Binus for West Jakarta, LTC Glodok for North Jakarta, and Grand Mall Cakung for East Jakarta. All units in the capital operate from 08.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB.
Outside Jakarta, similar services are available in supporting cities. In Bandung, mobile SIM keliling is at King’s Shopping Centre and Dago Plaza from 08.00 WIB until completion. In Bogor, the service is at Mall Jambu Dua from 07.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB. For Bekasi, it is at Kantor Kecamatan Bekasi Barat, operating from 08.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB.
This service is only for renewing active SIM A and SIM C licenses that have not yet expired. If the SIM has expired, applicants must apply for a new one at Satpas, including theory and practical exams. Required documents include a photocopy of a valid KTP, photocopy and original SIM, and proof of health examination. According to Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), the renewal fee is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.
