June's Nintendo Direct achieved the highest peak viewership among major Summer Game Fest showcases this year, according to analytics from LevelUp.
The presentation reached 3.8 million concurrent viewers, edging out the main Summer Game Fest showcase which hit 3.7 million. Other broadcasts trailed with PlayStation State of Play at 2.9 million and Xbox Games Showcase at 2.2 million.
The reveal trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake led in trailer views, amassing 115 million across platforms in just three days after its 9 June announcement. God of War: Laufey's announcement trailer followed with 90.5 million views, and Capcom's Resident Evil Veronica remake trailer placed third at 70.9 million.
The Zelda remake is set to launch for Switch 2 later this year. God of War: Laufey remains in development for PlayStation 5 without a release date, while Resident Evil Veronica is scheduled for next year on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.
