An internal development documentary for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl has been archived and shared online. The 43-minute video was uploaded legitimately by archivist Lewtwo on July 22, 2026.
The footage, obtained from a DVD copy, contains over 100 previously unseen designs along with early concepts for existing Pokémon. It also features concept art of characters and scenes plus clips from in-game areas during development.
Lewtwo posted the full video to the Internet Archive along with a detailed analysis. The documentary is in Japanese and has not yet been translated.
Among the images are alternate designs for Pokémon including a different version of Dialga and what appears to be a proto-Bidoof. One striking concept shows a fully Santa-themed evolution for Delibird.
The upload has drawn attention from fans interested in the development history of the Sinnoh region games.
