The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has accepted resignations of two top office-bearers and will appoint a CEO for the first time since its formation in 2020.
The Trust accepted the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra on July 8. It cited the need for professional management after a donation theft controversy.
The move follows a preliminary SIT report that found theft during donation counting at the Ayodhya temple. The report noted that a revised SOP issued in February 2025 relaxed frisking rules.
Trust sources said the CEO will handle day-to-day operations. The 15-member Trust will focus on policy decisions.
The changes bring the temple closer to models used at Tirupati and Vaishno Devi shrines.
