Ray and Dave Davies open up about possible Kinks reunion

Ray and Dave Davies have said they are getting on well and would not rule out performing together again. The comments come ahead of a new joint exhibition in London.

The brothers spoke to The Times before the opening of their exhibition The Kinks: Brothers at the Gibson Garage in London on July 24. The show runs until September 6 and features mixed-media works by painter Christian Furr based on a 1968 passport photo of the pair.

Dave Davies said the brothers are bonded again after years of tension. "We enjoy each other's company. We were getting on great," he said. He added that a reunion was possible, noting "never say never."

The pair last shared a stage in 2015 and worked on new material in 2019. In earlier interviews they discussed having enough unfinished songs for around 20 tracks, though any full reunion would depend on finding the right show.
